My Contribution

During my master's degree, the final objective was to develop a game from the ground up using a custom engine that we, the students, created with the guidance of our professors. This challenging yet rewarding experience culminated in the creation of Unaligned.

Therefore, I was deeply involved in the development of our custom engine. Some of the key areas I worked on were: multithreading implementation, state machines and behaviour trees templatization, and performance optimizations to ensure smooth gameplay. Additionally, I developed the pipeline for importing assets and created tools that significantly aided our art team.

When it came to the game's development, I took ownership of key areas such as Gameplay, Camera, AI, and Physics programming. However, my contributions didn't stop there. As a student eager to learn and explore, I also tried rendering programming, helped with Lua's integration, our sound systems, UI and our input management. My role also extended beyond technical aspects as I collaborated in both Production and Game Design, contributing to a cohesive and well-rounded project.
